Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of RetainUR. They're written to be readable — but they're still a binding agreement, so please read them before using the service.
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Sec. 01
Agreement to These Terms
By creating an account or using retainur.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
Sec. 02
What the Service Does
RetainUR places small recurring charges (currently $1 per card per charge) on credit cards you choose, on a schedule you choose, so the cards show activity and are less likely to be closed by their issuers for inactivity.
The $1 charge is the product: it is a real payment to RetainUR that creates real activity on your card. There is no separate subscription fee.
Sec. 03
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You may only add cards that you own or are an authorized user of. Adding someone else’s card without authorization is prohibited and may be unlawful.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Sec. 04
Billing
- Each scheduled charge is $1 per card, billed to that card via Stripe on the interval you select (e.g. every 1, 3, or 6 months).
- You can pause or remove a card at any time from your dashboard; no further charges will be placed on it.
- If a charge fails (expired card, declined transaction), we will notify you by email. We are not responsible if a failed charge results in your issuer treating the card as inactive.
- Because each charge is intentionally placed at your direction and provides the service itself, charges are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@retainur.com and we’ll make it right.
Sec. 05
No Guarantee of Card Retention
Card issuers close accounts for many reasons — inactivity is only one of them. While regular activity substantially reduces the chance of an inactivity closure, we cannot and do not guarantee that your issuer will keep any card open. Issuers may close cards at their sole discretion regardless of activity.
RetainUR is not a credit repair service, a financial advisor, or a credit counseling service. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Sec. 06
Acceptable Use
- Don’t use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering, manufactured spending schemes, or violating your cardholder agreement.
- Don’t attempt to probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Don’t resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written consent.
Sec. 07
Cancellation and Termination
You can stop using RetainUR at any time: pause or remove your cards from the dashboard. To delete your account entirely, email support@retainur.com and we will remove it promptly. No further charges will be placed once a card is removed.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that we reasonably believe involve fraud or unauthorized card use, or as required by law or by our payment processor. Where practical, we’ll notify you first.
Sec. 08
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that charges will fire without interruption or error, though reliability is our top engineering priority.
Sec. 09
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RetainUR’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including a card issuer closing your account, changes to your credit score, or lost rewards or benefits.
Sec. 10
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Sec. 11
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Sec. 12
