Cookie Policy

The short version: RetainUR uses only the cookies strictly necessary to sign you in. No tracking or advertising cookies — our analytics run cookielessly and store nothing on your device — which is also why you don't see a cookie consent banner here.

Sec. 01

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use the browser’s local storage for one preference. Both are listed in full below — this is the complete inventory.

Sec. 03

Why There Is No Cookie Banner

Privacy laws like the EU’s ePrivacy Directive and GDPR require consent for cookies used for tracking, advertising, or analytics. They do not require consent for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for — like staying signed in.

Everything in the table above is strictly necessary or a user-set preference, so no consent banner is required. Our analytics (see the Privacy Policy) are deliberately configured to be cookieless: they keep no identifier in cookies, local storage, or anywhere else on your device. If we ever add non-essential cookies or persistent analytics identifiers, we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism first.

Sec. 04

Third-Party Cookies

We don’t set third-party cookies on this site. When you add a card, the payment form is served by Stripe, which may use its own strictly necessary cookies for fraud prevention — see the Stripe Cookie Policy.

Sec. 05

Managing Cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Note that blocking the wos_session cookie will prevent you from signing in.
